What is happening to my ti plant? When I got it a few mon...
I donβt have this plant, but my understanding is it is very sensitive to getting too much or too little water, and (similar to a dragon tree) it can be very sensitive to things like fluoride in tap water. Can you provide more context on what happened around this shift? More photos could also be helpful.
Check the trunkβ¦ do any parts of it feel soft or mushy? That would be a concern for rot/overwatering. Check the soil deep in the container (use a moisture meter or wooden skewer)β¦ if itβs super wet, you likely are going to want to pull it from the pot to check the health of the roots (a fork is a helpful tool here) and let the soil air out a bit. You want the soil to be relatively moist but not wet. Because the only healthy leaf I can see in the photo you have is at the bottom, itβs also a possibility that the upper leaves are getting some sort of direct, concentrated sun roasted the plantβs leavesβ¦ but that seems less likely because there is no obvious pattern to the damage.
Most regular filters (pur/brita/etc) *cannot* remove fluoride (I use Clearly Filtered, which does), so unless you have a reverse osmosis filter I would try using distilled water or collected rainwater (if you arenβt in a terribly polluted area) to water it in the future.
