Dragon Tail Help!
I has this gorgeous dragon tail that FINALLY put out a leaf after almost a year of having it. The problem is that I didn’t put it on a trellis (I didn’t know better at the time) so the stem is very stretched out. I also want more growth points so it’s pretty obvious, cut it right? But it’s FENESTRATED AND LOVELY AND STUNNING AND GORGEOUS!! It’s so pretty 😭🩷 Do I cut it? If so, put it in water right? (I’ve been trying soil propagation and it is NOT going well, RIP baby polkadot & English ivy cuttings). Ugh, I just know my girl is going to take forever to put out another leaf and take much longer to give me another fenestrated one. #dragontail #Propagation #help (side note, dragon tail plant leaves are so senestive!! One tiny nick and we got scar tissue for days.)
@GrowMyPretties I would t cut it yet! I would give it more light! Light is good to plants and if it’s reaching it’s hungry! Maybe add a grow light or move it closer to the window. Good Luck!🪴🌺
@Ponytailmom It has a grow light and is very close to a window. I believe that’s why the leaf is fully fenestrated. I think the plant just wanted to climb or find soil because once it touched soil in my syngoniums pot, it started growing a leaf. I’m not sure though 🤷♀️
@GrowMyPretties Mine gets lots of light and has a trellis in this west window. One plant is growing close to the base and the other is stretching OUT (almost to the top) 🤷♀️
