Heavier, well-draining pot?
Hey everyone - I have some plants which are growing super well. However, theyβre top-heavy so Iβm looking to repot. I donβt want to use terra cotta because of the types of plants they are (snake plants, for example) - do you have ideas on pots I should get? Iβd rather not just put rocks in the pots but these guys tip over really easily - combo of big plant with little root ball, so donβt want to just give them a huge pot and then they get root rot. π« I know this is a weird random question! Thanks in advance for your #help #repot

@RealSimpleMama I have been getting mine on Walmart.com and the prices have been fabulous. I recently had to get a new pot for my snake plant for this reason. I think mine was $8? Itβs glazed ceramic. I also have my other 2 snake in a glazed ceramic outside and unglazed inside and theyβre doing great. They come with removable plugs.
@LucidAgapanthus thatβs what Iβm thinking! Iβll mostly need these pots for really drought tolerant plants like snake plants who like to stay super dry.
@RealSimpleMama may I ask why not terracotta, Iβm not really familiar with snake plants
@TheOddAsity hey this is great! Does it change how often you water? Those are so beautiful.
@RealSimpleMama so here in Utah, I water them about every 17-21 days in winter and about every 14 days in summer. And nope. I havenβt changed the frequency. I pulled the plug out of the bottom and I have a tray I put under them to drain (I need to buy more cause I share it between 4 pots π). Previously they were in terracotta as well, so theyβre doing good.
