Yellowing leaves

Newbie here… I just bought and repotted this mini gardenia. It’s been about 5 days and I’m starting to get some yellow leaves. What am I doing wrong?

@AliveOtanthus97 Common Causes & Solutions:
Watering (Most Common):
Problem: Both soggy roots (leading to root rot) and letting soil dry out stress gardenias.
Fix: Keep soil consistently moist but not soggy; ensure excellent drainage.
Nutrient Deficiency (Iron, Nitrogen, Magnesium):
Iron Chlorosis: Yellow leaves with green veins (common).
Nitrogen: Entire leaf yellows.
Fix: Use a fertilizer for acid-loving plants (azaleas, camellias) or a balanced 10-10-10, or add Epsom salts (magnesium).
Soil pH:
Problem: Alkaline soil (pH > 7.0) locks up iron, causing deficiency.
Fix: Test soil; aim for 5.0-6.0 pH; use soil acidifiers if too high.
Pests:
Problem: Spider mites (tiny yellow specks), aphids, whiteflies.
Fix: Inspect undersides of leaves; treat with insecticidal soap or horticultural oil.
Temperature & Light Stress:
Problem: Sudden cold snaps, too much intense sun, or low humidity.
Fix: Protect from extreme temps; provide morning sun/afternoon shade in hot climates.
Quick Action Plan:
Check Water: Feel the soil; adjust watering.
Check Drainage: Does water pool or drain slowly?.
Check Leaves: Note the pattern (veins green/yellow, whole leaf yellow).
Consider Fertilizer/Epsom Salts: Try an acid-loving feed or Epsom salts for magnesium/iron.
