Care advice needed
#Dracaena hey yβall! I just bought a cute pot (I think glazed clay?) and I had no idea it came with a plant, and I see some exposed roots and weird soil - it looks like itβs mostly rocks. This is only my second plant and I was wondering if you guys think I should repot it or add soil. Also should I cut off the dead ends or let them fall off? Thanks!!

Looks like there is plenty of room in the pot for now. You could repot in the same pot. It is sitting low in the pot, so the soil has compacted over time. They like well draining soil which is why someone used a rocky soil. Iβm fairly new to snake plants. I have 3 which I potted in cactus and succulent soil with some additional perlite and Bonsai Jackβs Gritty Mix (which is mostly small rocks). From what Iβve read, the worst thing you can do to them is overwatering. I use the Greg reminders to check for moisture, but donβt eat unless completely dry. Also is that pot doesnβt have a drainage hole, you might want to drill one or consider another pot. They donβt like to stay wet.
@PurpleViolet Sounds good, thank you for the advice!!
@RefinedSandwort Thatβs good to know, I do have a drill but Iβm super afraid of breaking it lol. I think maybe I will put some big rocks at the bottom for drainage if I canβt find a safe drilling solution, thank you for the awesome advice!!
@zooouimama I let my husband do the drilling since I have no mechanical skills! Some people manage succulents in pots without drainage but you have to be extremely careful. I am not that skilled!
Beautiful snake plants and there growing if doesnβt have holes try not to overwater because they donβt like wet feet and please donβt put water in there crown either I think you can add a little more soil and take some of the bigger rocks out I use pon in mine and orchid bark mixed if canβt drill a hole then you have to make sure there soil dries out completely and then wait another week before watering because these plants stores there water so there preferred dry house she will be fine enjoy your babies
@SuavePuriri Thank you for the help!! I feel a lot better now π
