Mystery spots on my plant!

Mysterious spots are found on my plant! What should I do?? #StringOfWatermelons

@FlashyMangotree I believe these are just oedema (like scarring due to being over wet). However, the picture isn't super clear, so it's difficult for me to see close up. Are those spots able to be removed? If so, then it is a pest known as scale. If not, it's probably oedema/scarring.
I have no idea, but your plant looks so cute!
Too much sunlight
@UltraKoreanfir OMG youโ€™re telling me that I have scale!?
@FlashyMangotree Not necessarily. I can't see in the photo well enough to tell. But scarring you can't remove. Scale bugs CAN be removed. Only you can see close enough and check.
@UltraKoreanfir I can remove the spots๐Ÿ˜จ๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ˜ฃ
Ok, so now you go into treatment mode.

I think @sarah10orio always has great advice for pest treatment plans. Hopefully she will see this and chime in.

I think I remember seeing that you can use a q-tip soaked in rubbing alcohol to remove what you can see. And then you want to treat with insecticidal soap or Neem oil repeatedly for some time to get rid of all life stages. You want to isolate this one away from other plants. And if it's already been near other plants, inspect them closely and treat similarly as needed.

Physical removal is a huge step towards eradication, so don't get squeamish...just pick them off and squish them! ๐Ÿ˜‰
@FlashyMangotree Just in case though ...can you try to get a better close-up picture (for Sarah or anyone else who might offer advice)?
This any better?
Guys? Really sorry, but I think this is actually oedema lol
