@GuruLentenrose I am not familiar with this plant but if this plant is in a container without drainage if could be root rot. Most plants needs drainage so the roots are allowed to breathe so to speak. I would remove the plant and check the roots, mushy ones would need to be trimmed off, and spray with a solution of peroxide and water. Let it dry and repot in new soil. And new container with drainage. Bottom water is a good idea let soak up and then pour extra water out.
It could be bacterial . I’d check for pests as well.
