Falling leaves on jade

I've had this jade plant about a year and suddenly seems like it's dropping leaves alot I let it bottom water so it sucks up as much as it wants, but not sure why this happening #jade #jadeplant
I've seen that leaves fall off easier on jades when they're overwatered! Dial the watering back a little bit-- water when the leaves are wrinkly and almost leathery feeling. On the bright side, you may propagate these leaves!
Agree with Annika. My jade drops leaves when I overwater. They don’t need much.
@LittleSongbird how do you propagate? I’ve tried and they just dry up or get soggy and rotten
@PrimoSpurflower Let them dry before putting them in soil! Sometimes it really does fail, though. Overwatered leaves typically aren't the best to prop with, but it's worth a try!
Yes the Jade plant is well known for it’s leaves to fall off but if it’s are all falling off then it’s probably the best option to just cut off on the watering and water it half as much as you normally would ❀️
@PrimoSpurflower get a small shallowish container & fill with starter mix (eg half coco coir half perlite) , then rest the leaves against the edges (so they can stay elevated above the soil a bit) & the end that used to be attached to the plant simply sits on top of the soil. Then just mist the soil once a day or so, doing your best to avoid soaking the leaves themselves. It’ll soon grow right from the stem and you can transplant em out
@VerifiedChia74 Amazing advice, Thank you!
