What is happening to my Rattlesnake Plant???

She was repotted the day before yesterday and has since looked like this… I used a mix of indoor and moisture control soil. I did make the mistake of bottom watering her before reading that Calatheas really don’t like it 😭 i feel awful! Some of her leaves are curling and they feel kind of soft and wilty. Tips??
1ft to light, indirect
6” pot with drainage
Last watered 2 years ago
I'm not a plant expert or anything, but I would just leave it and water it like normal and see if it fixes itself. Not sure but hope this helps!
Hi @DinkumStarburstπŸ’š
I'm not sure what is in the soil you used, but in the picture it looks quite dense. They should be inn airy well-draining soil that also keeps some moisture.
They can be quite dramatic, so it is possible it is throwing a fit just beacuse it was repotted.

They easily get nutrition-burns and sunburns. Do you know if the soil you used has lots of nutrients? Also they can be sensitive to minerals in both the soil and water you use🫣

But! I have experienced that when you need to give them a little boost just to settle down in the new environment, you might put them in a transparent bucket or plastic bag to up the humidity. It might help the leaves perk up when obviously the roots are not managing the pressure right nowπŸͺ΄

I see there are a few days since you posted, how are Athena doing now?
@MockingJay Hello! Thank you for your reply! Sorry for the late response, i have a human baby that takes priority over my plant babies lol.

I’m a noob and made the mistake of using fertilizer on a newly repotted plant with new nutrient rich indoor plant potting soil πŸ«₯

I did read somewhere that they liked distilled water so i have been doing that the last few waters.

Athena seems to be doing okay, she still closes up at night at stretches toward the sun during the day. Her leaves still feel a little thin but i’m hoping she’s still on the bounce back from her β€œnutrition hang over” πŸ˜‚

Thanks for the help!
@DinkumStarburst oh it is so easy to make mistakes with these onesπŸ˜… But it is good to hear that she is doing ok😊 I think she should recover nicely as she is not getting worse at this point. Might try to flush the soil to get rid of excess nutrients if you have not already done so😊πŸͺ΄πŸ’š
