Time to chop and prop?
I think it’s time to chop and prop my Silver Sword… the bottom has gotten bare and is top heavy 🤣 #Philodendron #SilverSwordPhilodendron #Propagation where should i chop? I know between the nodes, but I can’t handle 14 new propagations!
Also, is this sap normal? Very sticky and all over the stems (except for the bare bottom). If you say thrips, I will have a mid-life plant-parent crisis

You will feel so much better after chop and prop! What I would do is chop between the nodes and root them, and then put them all back into one pot together for a fuller plant. The sap isn’t thrips! It’s a normal thing for philodendrons, although *sometimes* it can be due to pest stress where it’s trying to attract beneficial insects. Inspect the leaves carefully for pests - if there aren’t any- it’s normal.
