Calathea sometimes release sap this way.. but it can also mean mealybugs or other pests š Look carefully over your plant for bugs and quarantine it from any other plants in a separate room. You said sticky so Iām assuming its a pest unfortunately :( You can treat with a small amount of rubbing alcohol, with neem oil, or insecticidal soap.
