Outdoor plants
I have a couple plants that I keep outside. Itβs been extra rainy the last week or so on and off. Does anyone else have any outdoor plants ? And if so how do you track the watering and the upkeep for them. Greg doesnβt really seem to take into account the weather even when I put in their profile theyβre outdoors. I currently have my Clubed Begonia; my elephant bush; and my Pearl Echeveria outside. Should I bring them inside while itβs raining? Iβm trying my best but Iβm not sure. #ElephantBush #ClubedBegonia #PearlEcheveria #outdoorplants
I have a lot of cacti and echeveria outside. We have also had a lot of rain, and I kept wondering if I should bring them back inside. They all have big drainage holes, so I just decided to take a chance and leave them all out. They all seem to be thriving. With the echeveria, I have noticed some water spots on the leaves. I have since poured any excess water off them (asap), and blot them dry. That seems to help. π
I leave mine out but they are Β½ covered and Β½ exposed. A day or 2 of some shmedium rain is fine but if it keeps raining and rains heavy then itd be best to cover them or bring them in. If they were established in the ground itd be no big deal, but since ours are potted it becomes an issue. Also if it's anything like here, raining and then scorching hot and humid. Definitely have to keep them protected. I have a fan blowing at all times to help keep the air moving around them to help a little but itll still only do so much. I have to repot a lot of mine tomorrow bc i didnt move them out of the rain fast enough.
