Browning in the middle

Hi all, I recently acquired a Japanese Holly and am unfamiliar with the care. She is outside, gets some direct sunlight but mostly indirect/shaded. I noticed the middle has gotten some dead/dried and brown leaves. I sprayed for pests, checked if she needs water. She was recently moved from a spot receiving direct sunlight, so I’m wondering if the dead leaves I’m seeing is because of sun damage or something else. We’re also in the middle of a heat wave in Texas so wondering if it could be that as well! Any help/tips on how you care for your lovely Japanese Holly’s will be helpful! Thanks!

Plants will usually kill off leaves that aren't getting enough sun to earn their keep. If it's only ones that are inside the middle they might just not be getting sun. Completely normal and healthy.
Sun damage would show on the leaves getting the most sun in brown or black spots where the sun burned them.
Glad to hear, thanks for your feedback!
