Every time I lift my terracotta pots that are sitting on my garden bed wood I see these worms are the beneficial or are they a warning that Iโm doing something wrong?

If you did I suspect it had some earthworm eggs in there. Okay, a lot of them. Then they have been hatching.
While a few can be fine that many is definitely detrimental to your plants as they compete for nutrients in the soil when the nutrients run out they will feed on plants roots.
Pour a mix of
1 part 3% hydrogen peroxide
Mixed with 3 parts water through the soil.
This will disrupt their development and they should no longer hatch.
You may need to do it through multiple watering to eradicate them completely.
Enjoy your sunflowers these are some of mine this year. I'm loving mine! ๐ป

@SuperbRaspfern no Iโve just used potting soil and flower food. Thank you for the suggestion I really want to see these sunflowers get to be big like yours !
@SuperbRaspfern when I asked the big identifying group they suggested millipedes, thereโs a tree above all my plants could this be adding worms?
@Art_3rror do they have legs?
Not that many. One or two could fall in there. But for there to be that many earthworms or millipede's they came in your soil already. Where they lay dormant waiting for the perfect conditions to hatch. So when you watered they started hatching.
Millipeds are pretty much the same, they will also start to eat plant roots when they overpopulate and run out of food sources.
The peroxide mixture will also kill them.
But either way you don't want that many in a potted plant. They will eat your seedlings.

@SuperbRaspfern thank you!
Your welcome. If you use that soil in any other plants be sure to pour a 50/50 mix of peroxide + water through before you plant your plants. Then set the pot aside for 1 1/2 hours, that's the half life of it. Then you can plant your plants.
Since there won't be a plant in the soil yet use a stronger solution. Pour it in until it runs out of the drainage holes. That way your soil isn't wasted. And you won't have to deal with them again. ๐ฉท

@SuperbRaspfern just followed you on insta!
Should I re pot my sunflowers? They are all in individual pots currently with my biggest in the larger pot but I can see the roots from the drain hole now. If yes, would it be wrong to plant them in my planter box with my roses?

Nice! I'll follow you back.
It depends on the variety if you did the large or giant varieties don't plant them with your roses. They will crowd them out they have really big root system.
If you planted small ones like Teddy Bear or Elf varieties you should be okay.
If you can see the roots coming out already they are likely the larger varieties though so I wouldn't plant them with your roses. They will crowd them out really fast.
How big are the pots you're using now?
You want them in 12 inch pots at least but bigger is better for sunflowers.
They will dry out too fast in small pots and get really droopy. Plus they won't have enough space and the flowers will be smaller.
So, if they are still growing then yes put them in bigger pots.

I just followed you back! You make art too!!! I can't see your page of coarse but I do oil and acrylic paintings. ๐จ๐ผ๏ธ
I don't do them this time of year because my plants grow so much during the summer they keep me busy. I normally work on my art fall, winter and spring.
It's always nice to meet another artist! ๐ฉท
