@ExecVandaorchid Hi lee, this is often a watering or light issue as in over/under watering or the light being too intense or hot. I also wonder if your soil mix is an issue if it is just regular soil and not one more suited to a palm (with better drainage) as these plants prefer a soak and dry approach to watering and you can check if it needs more water by checking the moisture level on the top few inches of soil.
But Iโ€™ll set out some major causes in case you have covered these two major culprits.

Brown leaves on a dwarf date palm can be caused by a number of things, including:

Watering
Both underwatering and overwatering can cause leaves to turn brown. Underwatering causes leaves to dry out, while overwatering can lead to root rot and nutrient deficiency. Check the soil moisture before watering, and water thoroughly.

Sunlight
Too much direct sunlight can cause leaves to turn brown and crispy. Provide shade during the hottest parts of the day.

Temperature
Extreme temperatures can cause leaves to turn brown. Protect your palm from cold drafts and frost.

Fertilizer
Too much fertilizer can cause a buildup of salts in the soil, which can burn leaves. Flush the soil with water to remove excess salts.

Nutrients
A lack of nutrients like potassium, magnesium, or manganese can cause brown leaves. Use a slow-release fertilizer made for palms.

Pests and diseases
Insect infestations like spider mites or scale, or fungal diseases like leaf spot, can cause browning leaves.

Pruning
Overpruning can leave your palm vulnerable to pests and stunt its growth. Remove damaged or brown fronds at the base of the plant, close to the trunk.

Natural browning
It's natural for the tips of palm leaves to brown as the plant reaches the end of its life. However, if only one or two leaves are browning while the rest of the plant is healthy, there may be an issue.

It is in the dirt I bought in at the store. It was very healthy and beautiful until recently, even in the hot temps. Now the highs are 70-84, no extreme cold. I'm thinking it's a watering issue, but no idea why. Until of 1 deep watering every 10 days, I was afraid I would water to much so I gave it maybe a cup and half every 3 days, twice. Then I left it alone for about a week and gave it the recommended amount. I'll just keep an eye on it and I'm keeping track of when I watered so I can get it on a schedule.
