This plant isn't happy and I don't know if she's too far...

#BlackVelvetAlocasia
4ft to light, indirect
4” pot with drainage
Last watered 1 day ago
I had to put mine in a clear plastic box until I get my indoor greenhouse. I’m guessing my humidity isn’t high enough, so a bunch of my Alocasias that are fincky are in there.
The soil is mostly likely drying out too fast because it's in a terracotta pot. Terracotta is great for succulents and cacti, but for Alocasia that like their soil to stay consistently, evenly moist, it's not the best material. I'd suggest getting some clear plastic pots. Plastic is non-porous so it holds onto moisture longer, and clear pots allow you to keep an eye on the roots. I've switched all of my plants over to them. Besides the pot, Alocasia also need crazy high humidity. Like @Sarahsmile said, I also keep mine in a humidity box, where they're thriving. Even though the humidity level in my house hovers around 60-70%, it still wasn't humid enough for Alocasia. A humidifier set up right next to it may also help.
Thank you both for the tips! I will try re-potting in plastic and increasing humidity.
