I received this guy as a gift. He is currently living in...

#BasketPlant
15ft to light, indirect
4” pot without drainage
Last watered 2 days ago
Do you mean he's in a bowl of water? Or the bowl has soil in it? If it's just water, it's ok for the time being, but he should definitely move to a pot with well-draining soil at some point. Water just doesn't have the nutrients plants need to thrive. If he was in soil previously and if his roots are nice and healthy, I'd go ahead and move him to soil sooner rather than later. The transition from water to soil causes stress, so best to avoid all that if possible ☺️
Steph gave you great advice, I'm just going to add that it needs a drainage hole if it's in soil in the decorative bowl. Otherwise the water will pool up in there and your plant will rot. 😒
There is no soil in the water. Whether there was previous to him being gifted, I don't know. I checked his roots and they are in good shape. I will take the advice so kindly given and plant him in a pot with both soil and drainage.

Thank you both.
