Hi Lindsey , welcome to Greg! First I notice it’s in a nursery pot- you just got it? I would repot it into a new pot, preferably terracotta as that allows the soil and roots to breathe. A well draining cactus/succulent soil with some added perlite to help with drainage. When you buy from a store like Home Depot- their plant vendors put in cheapest pots with the least amount of soil for a plant to live. I think if you repot Jose, you really won’t need fertilizer. Good soil and sun provides good nutrients for plants. I hope this helps ☺️
