Greg is telling me to water Jazmine that her soil is mois...

#MoneyTree
0ft to light, indirect
4” pot with drainage
Last watered 3 days ago
usually i let the top part of the soil (maybe like the first 2 inches) dry out before i water again.
@GrowWitMe my money tree got it 7ft away, mist every day
@MksGreenHaus99 The app gives a watering schedule which you can snooze. Temperature and maturity of the plant can have an effect on how fast or slow the water goes. So its good to know when your plant needs water rather than going by a schedule. For example my Monstera needs watering almost 8 to 9 days but Greg says sooner, if I do that then Ill definitely get root rot so I use the weight test to know when to water.
The internet is correct. I use chopsticks on my money trees & when they come out clean then water. Thinl toothpick & baking a cake (its not that they need β€œdry spellsβ€œ, its how rhey prefer their soil & how they live best but any plant that is over-wstered, which means different things to different plabts, will all get root rot if they r not watered to their specific liking. Good luck!
Yeah, I mean if it’s still wet at the top don’t water it! Hope this helps!
@MksGreenHaus99 As mentioned above it’s should dry out completely before watering again. I use a succulent soil with some extra perlite for good drainage. Remember they store water in their trunks. I can normally tell it’s ready for water when tips start curling under . One or two overwatering isn’t going to cause root rot the roots are far and few between. This is fine due to the trunk reserving water.
@ILoveMyPlants their roots look so small, its a wonder they can keep those plants alive!!! Have u ever seen roots om a Lady Palm? They resemble electrical cording!! Lol so many plants & each root system of its own. People need to realize theyre watering the roots & not the plant or soil & i think theyd give it more thought! Lol
I have a thriving money tree and I let it dry out between watering but water it a decent amount every Sunday. Getting a water meter is helpful.
