If you don’t have the plant in direct sunlight is it ok

#Monstera
23ft to light, indirect
2” pot without drainage
Last watered 2 years ago
I’m a pretty new plant parent, but I do have a monstera. I think they need to be within 3 ft of a window, at least that’s true here in the Midwest, USA. So direct sunlight, no, but as close to a window as possible, a definite yes!
Hey Rosie, Welcome to Greg! If the plant card is right 23 feet to direct light is probably too far from a window for a monstera unless it has a grow light on it.
@RJG agreed. There are a lot of great grow light options out there. I have had a monstera under one for about a year now and it’s doing really well. That said, if you decide to put it by a window, make sure there is a sheer curtain or something to help diffuse the light.
Haha yep, I’m hoping the grow card is incorrect. πŸ˜‚ That said: monsteras only like a trickling of direct sunlight and would prefer bright indirect light, so as to not burn the leaves!
