Is this normal?

I am a first time plant mom since getting 4 new plant babies in the beginning of May. One of them is a ghost plant which I have named Ben. He has been growing very quickly but I’ve noticed that the leaves on the bottom of his stem will die and fall off. Is this normal with ghost plants?
2” pot without drainage

Hi Maddy, plants that drop bottom leaves is a normal aging process. Looking at your plant- and your id tag- being in a pot without drainage isn’t good. They need to be in a pot without drainage drainage hole with good draining soil. If those leaves are papery and dry feeling- it’s most likely just aging. Your guy looks leggy and he might do well in a slightly bigger pot (4inch), and really good draining soil- I mix my own- 50% cactus/succulent soil with 50% Perlite. Regular potting soil retains too much water. They do need at least 6 hours of bright direct sunlight too. I suggest repotting it with what I’ve said above- and inspect the roots before you do so, make sure the roots are healthy and not black and mushy. I hope this helps
Typos! Dangit. I tried to say- it needs to be in a pot WITH drainage holes. I’m sorry
My ghost plant does this too! I totally get where you’re coming from! 🌱
This is very common and it is because of the leaves being oldοΏΌOR them not getting enough sunlight. Sunlight is extremely essential and good for these plants, so make sure you have enough, especially if they are new.
Also, I totally agree with @SillyPlantGirl
