Does my plant look healthy? i just today picked up a pot for my plant it’s been in the plastic it came in before recently. it lost 2 leafs while i was repotting it. Also im now wondering if it’s even a decent pot pick. greg is telling me my pot might be happier in a different pot, but google has told me the pot i got today was good? (the pot type is glazed clay with a drainage hole)

Greg's advice about the pot type is because succulents do best in terracotta pots. They're porous, which helps the soil dry out faster. Succulents are desert plants, so they're very susceptible to root rot if they sit in damp soil. Glazed clay pots are non-porous, plus they have thick walls and usually only one drainage hole. Airflow to the soil is restricted, so it stays damp too long.

This particular succulent is even more drought tolerant than most, so it can go a very long time without water (the thicker the leaves, the more water they store). Always let the soil completely dry out between waterings. Your plant doesn't look unhealthy, but it might have already been suffering from overwatering before you bought it. Commercial growers use very moisture retaining soil, which isn't a good fit for succulents. That could be why some leaves fell off while repotting. Did any leaves feel soft or mushy? One thing you might need to address is how those bottom leaves sit directly on top of the soil. When the soil is damp after watering, those leaves become especially prone to rot. When repotting, leave a small gap between the lowest leaves and the surface of the soil.
Is your new pot glazed on the inside too? If so, it may prefer an unglazed pot which you could set in a more decorative container. The pot may be too big. It s@Gould be slightly bigger than the rootball.
