Succulent has large growth

Curious what I should do. Got this little guy back on May 30th and since then there’s been a large growth shooting out. Not sure if this is expected for this type of plant or if it is affecting the rest of the plant. Should I leave it alone or trim it? #SucculentLove #NewGrowth #BeforeAndAfter

Your plant is starting to flower. You could cut it off since it takes energy away from the plant or you could leave it to see your plant bloom
Let it bloom, let it bloom!
@theloveofplants thanks, it finally is! Although noticing white spots showing up. Any thoughts on what it might be or what I can do to help?
@HeroNeonpothos Just wanting to encourage you! πŸ€— Hmm, looks like a mildew. Try mixing a solution of a tablespoon of baking soda with half a teaspoon of liquid dish soap. Add this mixture to a gallon of water. Once mixed, put some of the solution in a spray bottle and spray onto the leaves. Move the plant out of the sun for a few days while the solution sits. Baking soda + sun = sunburned plant.
You may need to complete this treatment a couple times until the mildew is completely gone. Treat the plant, wait a week, check the plant, if it needs another treatment, treat again. Treating every one to two weeks should help this mildew go away. Keeping out of direct sun this whole time. Also make sure you are not watering the succulent too much. Let the soil dry out completely before watering the plant again.
@theloveofplants thank you so much, will start that up and keep a watch on it. Really appreciate it!
@HeroNeonpothos Jason, you are very welcome! πŸ€— I am happy to help out! Keep us updated!
