Geranium not wanting to grow leaves lol
Does anyone know much about growing geraniums 😂 I’m as good at outdoor growing as indoor plants cause I’ve always rented. But I’m learning!
So not sure what I did but this geraniums is now blooming but there is no foliage 😂
I did overwinter it outside. Winter and the spring have been very odd ones for us here in Washington. I’m sure it was stressed as a lot of the initial leaves were pink and fell off.
I also didn’t cut it back fully or anything over winter and forgot about it, and it sort of just hung on with a few leaves the whole time until I clipped stuff off once I remembered 😂😂
Anything I an do to encourage the foliage growth again this year while it still blooms?
Or am I looking at cutting off all the blooms or something so it grows more lol
Any help appreciated 🤣 #Geranium #gardening #OutdoorGrowing #help #SadPlant

@Stephazar I’d wait until the flowers are spent and then cut it back. That’s the best way to encourage new growth. Make sure you cut the stalks above a node so it encourages new branches and leaves at the node base. I live in CA so I don’t have to over winter my plants but I do cut them back before Spring and they are thriving now’s
@Shells_Garden ohhh they’re so pretty!! And thanks I’ll do that!! Do you usually cut them pretty far down towards the ground?
@Stephazar I wouldn’t cut it all way back. Start with halfway back. You have new leaves on some of the shorter stems so that means the plant is already working to come back.
