Anyone know why my birds of paradise is suffering?

My baby has been looking sad for months. She was putting out new leaves but they’d just give up and die. I have moved it to a spot with less of a draft and more sunlight a couple months ago but the leaves that got leggy are too far gone. I realized a couple weeks ago it’s root bound so I repotted earlier in the week. It was overwatered, too. The soil wouldn’t dry out even after not watering for 2 months. But anyone know why the leaves look crunchy at the edges, curl inward, some are wrinkly and they have brown stripes and cracks? They’ve been this way for at least 6 months. The pics are the front & underside of the same leaf
It looks like a pathogen infection. Overwatering can cause a lot of internal structural damage. If your soil hasn’t dried out, it’s probably needing new soil and to be removed from the soil it’s currently in; that’s just reinfecting the plant. You want to remove the soil and wash that pot really well and disinfect it. Apply new soil that’s well-draining; and check your humidity levels as well as air flow; if your plant isn’t drying out, it means air isn’t passing through, which the roots need and will lead to root rot. Pathogens will infect other plants, so you want to treat it with something that is for active bacterial/fungal pathogens (it looks like that to me); then once back to healthy, keep cleaning it with neem oil or something as a preventative after that. But it’s not a treatment for already infected plants. I hope this helps, but maybe someone else will have information ☺️
@Idplantthat thanks a billion! What can treat a pathogen infection?
@AngelYerbasanta, so a few different options. I’m a delivery to my door, please, kinda girl myself ☺️, so I use Amazon. Let me send you a couple of options I liked. https://a.co/d/02eBByd6 https://a.co/d/00lygSBF https://a.co/d/0hjmHiWV The last one is actually a pest soap I use when I transplant my new plants for the first time just to kinda help out if they had any hitchhikers attached to them. 🤣 I hope this helps
