Why is the leaves turning brown

#Canna
6โ€ pot with drainage
Last watered 1 year ago
Hey so I looked up some info for u and a number of reasons can cause yellowing leaves on this plant, including:
Light: Calla lilies prefer bright, indirect light. Too much direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, while too little light can make it difficult for the plant to photosynthesize.
Nutrients: A lack of nitrogen, magnesium, or iron can cause yellowing leaves. Older leaves may turn yellow if there's a nitrogen deficiency, while young leaves may be deformed if there's a calcium deficiency.
Watering: Overwatering or underwatering can cause yellow leaves. Overwatering can lead to root rot, which restricts the plant's ability to absorb nutrients.
Drainage: Poor drainage can lead to mushy leaves.
Fungal diseases: Fungal diseases like Phytophthora or Pythium can develop in overwatered calla lilies.
Pests: Pests can cause mushy leaves.
Solutions
Place your calla lily in a spot with bright, indirect light.
Use a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer during the growing season.
Adjust your watering schedule and check the soil moisture.
Improve drainage.
Manage pests.
Cannas need to be outside to flourish โ€ฆ each year they multiply and depending on how long youโ€™ve had it in that pot they may have no more room in that pot due to them multiplying in the pot. They could be suffocating. They need lots of room to grow and spread and lots of sun to flourish.
