Droopy leaves, help!
#MoneyTree My money tree has recently and suddenly started to droop and the trunks feel shriveled and hallow-ish. Iβm new to this plant, really want to save her!

Money trees need rich, well draining soil, and they like bright indirect sunlight. You will most likely have to take it out of the pot to check the roots- but if the trunk is squishy and hollow- it may already be too late from root rot. Thereβs no infor on this plant- is it in a good draining pot? What kind of soil did you use you use? How often are you watering, and are you using tap water? Sorry for all the Qβs- itβs helpful to know so we can try to help you better.
Tap water is hard on money trees because of the Chlorine. I put tap water in a gallon milk just and let it sit - open- for 24 hours to let the Chlorine dissipate. If you take the tree out of the pot to check the roots- if it smells itβs probably root rot- you can try to cut off the bad roots with scissors cleaned with alcoholβ¦.but the trunk is concerning- a squishy hollow trunk usually isnβt good. Thatβs where these trees store their water and is pretty hard.

Looks like the sun it touching it. Money Trees do not tolerate their leaves being hit by sun.
Money trees enjoy a good soak when "dry". This allows the trunk to fill with water so it can feed those wateraholic leaves. I automatically leave tap water in those 2 gallon plastic watering "cans" overnight, but our tap water actually stinks like chlorine, whereas even I need to brita it for my own use. I'll actually let the pot sit in the saucer that the water ran into for an hour or more so the trunk can soak up as much water as it needs. Once dry...repeat the heavy water again. It might be me, but the only time I've seen leaves like yours was when I accidentally let it get hit by the sun's rays.π
