Sempervivum arachnoideum āCebeneseā care and info
I got my youth leader a succulent for his birthday thatās coming up next week, but he doesnāt have any succulents and Iām unfamiliar with this one, could anyone give me some tips/care/info about this one. It was originally in a 2.5 inch container, and I put it in a 6 inch turtle shaped pot, although I wouldnāt say itās full 6 inch because the head itself is not only smallish but an inch wide so yeah, Iād say itās at least 5 inches. @SpyderLily Ikr! And it actually has a drainage hole with a plug. Iāve never been able to find an animal shaped pot with drainage holes! I might have to go back to Home Depot and get myself one XD
@izzyandsugar No, the ācobwebsā are not sharp, they are soft. I had also googled it. This is a variant of Hens and Chicks. I hope I understood that first question correctly. Anyway, as for that second question, this pot that I got is from Home-Depot, it's only available for a limited time, you can either get the turtle one or there's also a hedgehog one, I'll give you the link to both, but they are only like 10 bucks each.

@LikelyChaya33 I love itš I have some hen and chicks too. And my best advise is to not overwater, that is almost the only way they dieš¤£ And they need lots of lots of light, to stay healthy.
I have mine outside in the summer, gradually getting them used to full sun. Usually under a roof so they don't get rained on.
In winter I have them inside in a south-facing window with full sun in a cooler room. But they also would tolerate the winter outside (I have some in the ground too, on a dry spot). I water about every 2 weeks I thinkš¤, and I soak them when I do. Usually I feel the leaves if they are starting to get a little softer, then it is time to water.

@LikelyChaya33 yes it is bulbasaur š African (dark) versionš I didn't have the right colors to print it right, but turned out great either wayš
