Oh, Morgan. I'm so sorry. 😔 There is one way you can check to see if it's still alive. Take a sharp knife and carefully scratch the trunk near the base. If you see green, the plant is still good!!
But if you see brown, you have an available pot! 😉
@WiseLivingjewel is right: with bonsais, it's good to be ready to water them every day, twice a day if they are outside in the sun.
Their little pots or trays don't hold much water so you've gotta keep nature balanced. Bonsais are like a pet: they require a lot of attention, but they can be very rewarding.
