I’m looking for an outdoor plant to keep in my apartment ...

Geraniums are easy to grow in the summer months, drought-tolerant, and bloom continuously with proper care. During the winter season a wintergreen plant produce’s bright red berries and evergreen foliage.
I hope this helps your search😊
While not incredibly colorful, Snake plants are a pretty hearty plant for changing seasons. Mine sits in a west facing window as well. The summers are incredibly hot right now but even when we had temperatures as low as 20F, it is still thriving. I don’t water during colder months. ☺️
Marigolds are very pretty and when they start to die off, you can collect some seeds to plant for next season!
