Hello Lori! Your Gerbera may not be blooming because of a lack of nutrients. I would begin fertilizing it during the growing season (spring and summer) every two weeks, which will help encourage flower growth over leaf growth. I recommend using a fertilizer that has a low number in the middle (15-7-15, 12-2-12), and after it blooms, give it a two week period before continuing to fertilize it.
