Noticing a not so pleasant scent coming from what I belie...

@HelperMendoza is it a rotten sulfur smell? That can be root rot. Check your plant. If so, cut off any mushy roots until only white and firm roots are left. Then mix 2 parts water to 1 part hydrogen peroxide and rinse the roots thoroughly. Repot into fresh clean soil. These guys need a chunky well draining soil.
@HelperMendoza Welcome to the Greg community! No, Peperomia caperata, commonly known as "Ripple Peperomia" or "Peperomia," does not typically emit an unpleasant smell, and its flowers are generally odorless. Here's a more detailed explanation:
Peperomia Flowers:
Peperomia flowers are usually long, green spikes that are not particularly noticeable or fragrant.
Root Rot:
While the plant itself doesn't have a bad smell, a foul odor can indicate a problem, specifically root rot, which can occur if the plant is overwatered or has poor drainage.
Peperomia as a whole:
The Peperomia family is generally considered non-toxic and safe to keep around pets. Peperomia Care:
Peperomias are known for being easy to care for and thrive in bright, indirect light and with regular misting.
Peperomia and Air Quality:
Peperomias can also help purify the air by reducing the level of formaldehyde indoors. Hope this info is helpful, Happy Growing!!
