Is this normal?

Hi! My plant keeps getting wrinkly leaves even though I am watering it. Do I need to water it even more? Everyone keeps telling me these plants don’t need much water so I’m scared to overwater him. But I’ve also heard when the leaves wrinkle the plant needs water. So should I water or should I wait? #Sedum

I think he may need less water, actually, and that’s why the leaves are wrinkling. I see the pot has no drainage. Are you noticing the soil dry out completely between watering? If it’s moist definitely don’t add more.
@SharonH it definitely is drying out between waterings. And I’ve noticed less leaves turning yellow and falling off when I water more. Maybe when I move him to a new pot in a few weeks it’ll help with it since he will have drainage
Is it currently in a peat pot? I would transplant that as soon as possible into a clay pot with drainage and potted in well draining succulent soil. The problem might be that the pot and soil wants to stay damp for longer and so you water less than the plant needs to avoid keeping things too soggy. Not an ideal environment for this little guy.
@malobee agreed, I’m not sure he will last a few weeks @AlivePhysicnut. I’d get him out of there asap and when you do I’d do a full inspection of the roots, etc
