Can anyone help me understand why my black knight echever...

My echeveria black knight seems to be strugglingโ€”the outer leaves on the bottom layer are shriveling and wiltingโ€ฆ The original problem was not enough sunlight but now Iโ€™m worried he was getting too much? (He was placed on a window sill that got 6+ hours of direct light facing southwest)โ€ฆ.If not that then I waited too long to move him to a bigger pot (he was in his original one for a while too long)โ€ฆ Photos of old tiny pot and new one. Just moved him today. #Echeveria #BlackKnight

Hello @NattieGThumb. I don't think the problem is sun, they love sun. I think the problem might be your pot and soil. They both hold on to too much moisture. I would advise taking it out of the current pot and checking the roots and stem for rot. If all looks well, use a terracotta pot with drainage hole and a chunky/gritty succulent mix with added perlite for extra drainage and aeration. And only water when soil is COMPLETELY dry.
Also @NattieGThumb, that pot looks too big, consider going down a size or just be extra careful with watering if you get a terracotta that size. Hope this helps. ๐Ÿ˜
Super helpful!! Thanks!
