What is this ? Should I be Concerned?

This just appeared within the last day or so and I just noticed it now. Should I be concerned or is it just the dirt. I bottom water so I’m confused. #help #Caladium

It’s mold from being a little too@moist it won’t hurt it just take a pencil and move it around it will be ok and cut back on your watering a little

Yep mold 😏 I’ve had it and agree with @Michelle5986 about cutting back on water a bit. I’ve taken a little spoon and scraped it off, added a bit of new soil, and everything has been fine. οΏΌ

Cinnamon prevents fungal growth…sprinkle a good amount on top of the soil to keep it from progressing, the. Let the soil dry out before watering it again

I agree with the above looks like white mold. I heard from a botanist one should actually expect it if you are using organic fertilizer. I've often got it after fertilizing.
