Dark Star leaf turned yellow and drooping :(
I've had this plant for a little over a year now and it's been pretty happy except for a mealy infestation a while back which i treated successfully :). Anyways, I'm not sure if theres a reason for the leaves doing this or if they just die and i have to "prune" it? How should i cut the leaf off if i should even do that? #DarkStarElephantEar

It could just be dying of old age, but usually the yellowing and drooping is very rapid. Like, it'll be a couple days and it'll be completely yellow. If you do want to prune it, sterilize some scissors and cut it down near the bottom of the stem.
It could be overwatering as well. The leaves turn yellow and sometimes get brown spots when the plant is too wet.

Let's pretend this is your spent leaf (the leaves don't last forever and will yellow and die when the plant is finished with them).
