Air roots = underwatering?

So if a plant is putting out air roots, does that mean it is under watered? My new little Sedeveria is just a baby. It has a few air roots, but also had some yellow & some dried up leaves this week. I'm not sure if those leaves shriveled and died due to overwatering or not watering enough.

How long since you fertilised? I have no idea if these guys do it but majority of my aroids start to over produce aerial roots when they want a feed.

You can also try adding diatomaceous earth or silica additives to strengthen the stems, most plants produce aerial roots if they feel unsteady
On the one hand, I feel like with such tiny roots, it probably needs less water. But on the other hand, I put them in Pon, so maybe it's drying up too fast for them.
@Plantcraze I messed up the post and can't fix the picture. It was supposed to be about my Irish Bouquet, Brando. Two air roots barely visible, but sizeable (each is about 0.75 inch). Here is the right picture.
Found a couple more
@PoisonIvys Thanks. I will try some Plant Food first. I don't have any diatomaceous earth, and can't imagine it would need much, but will look for some at the local farm store.
@UltraKoreanfir thanks for the best answer 😊πŸ₯°

I use a silica additive for hydro set ups because I keep so many plants in water it’s just easier that way for me to add it to the watering can rather than mess with β€œthis much for that size pot” πŸ˜…

I know Amazon is still around the cheapest for diatomaceous earth but I will always recommend buying local from β€œthe little guy” rather than big chain stores or online. Etsy might have something too 😊
@PoisonIvys and what silica additive do you use? I'm not familiar at all with them.
Ok there should be 3 pics πŸ˜… I think my Greg is glitching
Pics still aren’t showing up on my end πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
