Peace Lily root rot
My peace lily from my grandmas funeral had terrible root rot. The plant was completely wilted and the leaves were just laying over the pot. The roots were all mushy, basically every root had to be removed. I didn’t know what to do so I sprayed with a fungal treatment and popped the few plants I could save in a cup@of water. This morning, the stem/leaves are standing up better than they have in a week. Does this mean I can plant them back in soil? Any advice would be so appreciated

@Newplantlover86 one of the best ways to treat root rot and related issues is with hydrogen peroxide (3%) 1 part to 4 parts water and apply to roots area. Then you can dust with cinnamon for additional antifungal protection.

@Seymour so once I treat it, just repot it right after? And when I do, do I need to water it right away?
@Newplantlover86 Hi Sara, yes. The H2O2 will kill the root rot and you will need to at least water your plant in when repotting but after that you need to be careful not to overwater or you may have the same problems again. As for more general peace lily care, I just happened to be helping someone else with Peace lily issues so I am including what I included for them about more general peace lily care below. They are such lovely plants.
One issue may be light, which you can check with a light meter app on your phone eg Photone or PFD meter. I am not sure if your plant has a drainage pot but that helps with some watering issues, eg overwatering.
It may also benefit from good humidity and you can always consider fertilizing.
Below are some useful guides which may help but it may not be getting the water it needs (hence the drooping) or too much water. That's why thay watering guide can make a difference.
