Hi, I’m a new plant dad!

I recently bought a #bluecandlecactus and got them wrapped in newspaper, without any soil. I potted them in cactus/porous soil as soon as it was delivered. I really don’t pay attention but I think after a month i saw this brown part at the bottom of the stem and would like to know if I should be concerned about it. I would appreciate any feedback, thanks

It's so cute!!
I don’t think you have to worry about anything, it looks like a callous. It may have gotten its skin somewhat peeled and the callous is just there to protect the plant. Here is a strange looking callous from my plant. Just keep taking care of it and you won’t be disappointed! Succulents are very worth keeping.
@PlantyPerson1 thanks Alexis!
No problem! Take care and hope your cactus lives a very long life !
