O dear, ok, so. If you still see green color on the trunk, then you can still probably save it under dedicated and proper care. Next thing is, Kumquat LOVES and need humidity, and if i read what you wrote there correctly and you put it in a room with air conditioner, then it's a bad combo. AC basically dry the air in the room and it's kinda choke the tree and rob it from the humidity it needed.

@AvidSugarpine28 well, Kumquat is heat tolerance, but prolonged exposure to temperature above 32-ish Celcius might damage it. If you want to put it outside, i suggest to put it under a shade first until you can determine whether you can actually save this one or not.
