Some tan/white fuzzy things are on my crispy wave fern, w...
I noticed them today while watering. It’s only on two leaves that aren’t as wavy as the others but are healthy otherwise. What could this be and what should I do about it? It hasn’t spread to the others yet and I’ve moved it away from them so hopefully that won’t happen.
5ft to light, indirect
4” pot with drainage

I am pretty sure it is not bugs although it can look similar. I believe it is sporangia, it is where the spores for reproduction come from. And yours is at the beginning stages in time the spots will grow into spores, then they drop into the soil below to make new ferns.
I know it can be a bit weird when you first see them. I have an elks horn fern and hers look just like the could be scale. They look a bit different on a ferns.
But if you look there is actually a sort of pattern to them and they are almost evenly spaced. Bugs don't work like that.
Actually you should be proud of yourself for even noticing because they are still quite small and just forming! What you are seeing is the area of the plant those spores are made and developed in.
I included a diagram to help you understand the process.
