Broken root - what do?
Hi so my Dieffenbachia always grew kind of crooked but I didn't realise how much stress that put on the plant. I watered it yesterday with fertilizer and I guess the watered soil made it lean more.
It one of the two plants in my pot just fell down. The main root seems broken off after about 7cm. There are still smaller roots on it. I just dug a hole and stuck it back on a more upright angle and got it a little 'crutch'.
Is there anything else I could do for it to survive this? Thank you for any help it's my favourite plant π

@GemRunnerbean30 Hi Carina! Welcome to Greg! I would repot it! It looks like it has outgrown its pot! When you repot it you will be able to reset them so that they are both straight. It needs more room I believe! πΊπΈ
I agree with @Ponytailmom that it definitely looks like it's outgrown its pot. Are you sure it was the root that broke? It looks like it was one of the main stems that broke. A photo showing where it broke would be helpful, then I can give you next steps βΊοΈ
