Monstera yellowing?
Can please someone help me understand why my #MonsteraAdonsonii is yellowing and has burnt tips? Itβs not in dire t sun, but gets lots of indirect light, South facing window at 2mt. Repotted it a few months ago because it was suffocatingβ¦

@SoundlyAnahaw Well, it might be feeling like it's on the beach during a heatwave. Even if it's indirect light from that fancy south-facing window, it can still be too much for our leafy friend. Think about moving it a tad further away from that window superstar or give it some stylish shades, like sheer curtains. H2O Talk: Now, onto the watering situation. Is it parched or drowning in its own sorrows? Stick your finger in that soil β if the top inch is dry, then it's cocktail time. But if it's still sipping its last drink, hold off on the watering. Repotting Drama: Our plant buddies can be real drama queens when it comes to change. If you recently gave it a new home, it might be throwing a temper tantrum. Give it some space and time to settle in. Food for Thought: Lastly, consider feeding the beast! A little liquid fertilizer during its growth spurt season can help perk it up and make it feel like it's at a five-star plant spa. Be the chill plant parent you are, make those tweaks, and soon your Monstera will be back to its green, lush self, ready to party in the plant jungle!
@JungleDreamer thanks so much!!! I wish I knew exactly the reason why π for the watering, I religiously follow Gregβs advice and calendar, I have a stick all the way to the bottom that tells me if the soil is dry. Most of its roots have overdeveloped on the base because the previous pot was so small they had to grow OUTSIDE the draining holes to survive. So it might be that after 3-4 months itβs still adjusting?
My flat can get quite hot, but we havenβt had a nice Summer here in the UK so I donβt think sheβs suffering the heat. Probably the air is dry! I ventilate the flat, but I live on a busy road so I canβt keep the windows open too much. I might need to vapor some water to maintain the humidityβ¦

@SoundlyAnahaw just to mentioned that I adopted this baby and repotted it after noticing the roots π
