Water Issue

I have a hanging plant (pathos) that has been thriving for years. Recently I noticed when I water her, the water goes straight thru the soil and she isn’t as happy. What do I do?
12ft to light, direct
6” pot with drainage
Last watered 3 days ago
@UpbeatLithop96 What a big beautiful baby!! She probably needs a soil refresher. All of my Pothos are in Succlent soil mixed with Perlite. 2:1 ratio of course you don't have to use my recipe I'm just letting you know what my guys are in. πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘
@princesspitstop does that mean add soil or whole new pot? I’m a little nervous to take her down from the wall, worry about her arms!
@UpbeatLithop96 I can see why, it's a beautiful plant!! 😍 It really depends on if the plant is root bound. Really the only way to make sure is by removing it from its home to see if the roots are circling the pot. There's really no way of getting around it. If you already have it out of the pot checking roots you might as well repot it while it's out you know what I mean? 🫀Just by looking at it, it's pretty big to be in a 6" pot. The rule of thumb is to go up on pot size 1-2" larger than the root ball. So either a 7 inch or 8 inch pot. I'd go for 8 just to give it some room so you don't have to do it again anytime soon. Just be gentle with her arms. If you happen to accidentally break a stem or two, they grow roots in water quickly and you can plant them right back into the pot. I wish I had better news for ya! You got this Keri! I believe in you! πŸ’ͺ😁
