Strawberry leaf edges turning brown

My strawberry plant’s leaves are turning brown- what’s the cause of this? Is it sunburn?
Inconsistent watering is the most common reason for strawberry leaves turning brown and both overwatering and underwatering can be the culprit. Overwatering causes leaves to potentially wilt and discolor and can eventually lead to rot and fungal diseases.
Alternatively, it could be lacking some nutrients, have you tried using a fertilizer?
@Seymour no, I haven’t used a fertilizer yet. And the soil feels really dry, should I go ahedd as and water it? And use fertilizer when I’m watering it?
If soil feels really dry (not just the soil on the top of the pot) then it might need water, tray watering (bottom watering) might be best to regulate amount of water. See if it perks up, if still not well then maybe some fertilizer is also in order. I assume no sign of any pests.
Also not sure how intense your sunlight is where you put the plant but that can also affect how much water it may need.
@Seymour I will bottom water it, like I do with my succulents. I keep it on a shelf with indirect light, but in the morning I move it to a sunnier spot. The top soil feels fairly dry but not too dry
@SimpleSucculent
I'm wondering if leaving it in the one spot for a while will also help it stabilise, just a thought.
@Seymour ok. That spot doesn’t get much light, though. Would a windowsill be okay? The only derections that would work is East and North, but the North window doesn’t get much light.
@SimpleSucculent I am also wondering if it is getting enough sun for long enough? The leaves look dark green. Generally they need at least 6-8 of full sun.

I think this link might help answer that question for you

@SimpleSucculent If you find it perks up from your tray watering and looks like it has recovered, you can return it to a more normal watering regime as if you keep it in a tray for long, it could rot the roots. So once it comes good (fingers crossed), here's the normal watering regime:
Water your strawberries whenever the soil feels dry about 1 inch below the surface, or about twice per week. You don't want the plants to be sitting in water or soggy soil. So make sure the soil remains slightly damp—not dry or soggy—to provide the best environment for fruits to form. In general, the soil in containers dries out faster than the soil on the ground. Thus, long periods of hot, dry weather might necessitate twice daily watering.
@Seymour I’ve only been setting it in the morning sun for the past 2 or 3 days so I think I’ll keep doing it so it can get enough sun
@SimpleSucculent Sounds good, it really needs some full sun. would love you to have some lovely strawberries 🍓 from a healthy plant. Then you can make strawberry Shortcake 🍰 😋
@Seymour lol
@Seymour I tried bottom watering it, it sat there for about 2 hour and did nothing. I just top watered it.
@SimpleSucculent Silly me, I should have explained myself better. If the pot was totally dry, there would be no water for the capiliary action of water to act.🤦‍♂️ But you did the sensible thing. 😀
