I would maybe pause on cinnamon as a root agent only because it's unfounded for that reason. I'm all for a little cinnamon on the dirt to keep crawling bugs choked, but actual rooting powder is cheap- if you even want to use that. Truly, I would let it sit out of dirt for a few days. It seems weird and counterintuitive, but the plant wants to callous and dry/heal a bit before back in the dirt.

Here is the rooting powder I use. I haven't tested it enough, and anything I've had take root did it on its own.
Get a clean knife, cut a few inches above the nast spot, let it heal for some days, pop it back in the ground.. These dudes are very resilient - and are bad with mold. No clue on the history, but it looks like a plant I had where my dirty saw was def a mold culprit.
Thank you, @thenonnon !!! Further photos below for case study. At least others can learn from my negligence. I will throw the soil away too. I think I was overwatering.
I did sprinkled some cinnamon on the green part. Is that ok? Or should I wash it away.
I trust you, thanks a bunch! I will wash off the cinnamon and let it rest. Congrats for your green collection!
