All of the spider mites are gone now I ensured that however it’s still struggling pretty bad. I grow mine in water with two different types of stones. I’d like to repot however it’s too cold now. It’s pretty flimsy now since I had to remove some very dead shoots of bamboo. If I need to pick up plant food what kind? Any tips are welcome! #NewPlantMom #LuckyBamboo #PestControl fertilizer">#fertilizer #planthelp #help #HappyPlants #PlantsMakePeopleHappy #Advice #spidermites #sickplant #plantcare

Well I didn’t have a spider problem with my lucky bamboo but they did start declining out of nowhere and I have huge bambo which are very costly what I did was took them out ther original container got rid of all the dead leaves or yellowing areas I then rinse them thoroughly then let them sit for a few dip them in rooting powder and put them back water in a new clean glass container cleaning the water every 7days and it took awhile but the came back better even making babies so that’s just my suggestion οΏΌ
Any severe spidermite infestation should be dealt with systemic insecticide.

Use β€œABAMECTIN” insecticide to eliminate spidermites. Neem oil does not work well especially cost and effectivity ratio
i agree with cj!! if the infestation is really bad then systemic is the best way to go. thankfully i haven’t had any situation that requires it, but systemic is good because the insecticide gets into the plant itself so the bugs won’t try and eat from it anymore ^^
@cjred I’ve looked and looked I 100% no longer have spider mites and I took 5 days to make sure they were completely gone. It’s just struggling to bounce back at this point.
@skybears gratz but have to monitor and shower your foliage regularly.
@skybears I have to be honest, those stems to not look good. Are they all wrinkly? Do you have any in the middle that are still smooth?
@cjred I agree with you. Good advice
@sarahsalith most stems I had to rid of, the other ones are thick and green so thankful for that :/
now i’m absolutely terrified my lucky bamboo is going to get a spider infection how the hell do these infections occur
@alyssahorwath spider mites come indoors mainly in the winter when it’s super dry. Super hard to notice unless your paying attention. If your rinsing your plants frequently or at least misting here and there you can usually prevent them. I’ve never had issues before till now so now I rinse all of my leafy plants weekly in the shower :)
@skybears thanks!
