Does it stand a chance, also is there any way I can aid i...
So my mom had in her frustration accidentally picked up the cleaning spray mister instead of the plant water spray mister and had āwateredā Sherlock, hence the deadnessā¦but I had found these new sprouts today, is it possible that itās coming back? Oh also I havenāt changed the soil yet as I had just heard about this as of yesterday why it was dead looking. Should I immediately repot Sherlock in clean fresh soil and clean the pot or should I leave it for now?

Yes!! Those new green fronds are actually a really good signāit means the rhizome may still be alive and Sherlock could definitely recoverI wouldnāt repot it immediately, though, because disturbing the roots while itās trying to recover could add more stress. Iād gently remove the completely dead/dried fronds, keep the soil consistently moist (but not soggy), and give it bright indirect light + good humidity. Since cleaning spray was accidentally used, if a significant amount got into the soil, Iād consider flushing the soil thoroughly with plain water to help remove any residue. If it was only a small amount, Iād leave the soil alone for now and watch the new growth. The fact that youāre seeing fresh green growth is definitely encouraging!
