I'm not familiar with this particular plant, but there are countless variables unique to your plant and its environment the app can't possibly take into account. It's best to use the app's watering reminders as suggestions more than anything (especially if you've just started using the app). If you get a reminder to water but the soil is still damp, click the "snooze" button and it will remind you again in a few days, then keep clicking snooze until the soil is sufficiently dried out. The more you use the app, the more accurate the watering recommendations will become, but you should always check the soil first before watering.
Lots of different things can cause leaves to yellow...overwatering, transplant shock, nutrient deficiencies, fungal issues, insufficient light, etc. The oldest leaves at the bottom will occasionally die off as part of its normal growth cycle, so that's another possibility. Is it planted in straight leca, or soil mixed with leca?
