How do you propegate this type of plant?

#Dracaena
4” pot without drainage
Last watered 5 months ago
Merry Christmas Libby!
πŸ”Ή Stem Cuttings: Cut 4-6 inches long from the top and root it in water or stick it in well draining soil.
πŸ”ΉBut it looks like your Dracaena has a fungal or bacterial disease called leaf spot. It’s common this time of year, and it’s also contagious to the other plants in your oasis. Unfortunately, successfully propagating a disease plant is low. But with a little TLC you can successfully help your plant.
πŸ”ΉIsolated it, trim or remove infected leaves, then spray the leaves with any fungicide spray like Neem Oil.
β˜€οΈ Insufficient light will cause the soil to stay moist too long. Your plant will tolerate low light conditions, but it will grow faster in bright indirect light from an East facing window. The intensity of the light from a North facing window decreases in the winter.
πŸ”ΉHouse Plants in the fall/winter time need less and less water. Allow the soil to dry out between watering. Water your plant when the top 1/3 or 1/2 of the soil feels dry to the touch. Consider spiking its water with 1 tablespoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide per one cup of water. This will kill any bacteria in the soil that will cause root rot. (Only repeat once)
πŸ’¦ Avoid watering your plant with tap water, because it will cause the tips of leaves to turn brown. The chemicals in tap water builds up in the soil. There are water conditioners (like Stess Coat) on Amazon that will remove the chemicals in tap water.
πŸ™ I hope your plant will make a speedy recovery. Good luck
